Water slag refers to iron-making blast furnace slag. In the molten state at high temperature, it becomes a granulated foam after rapid cooling with water, milky white, light, brittle, porous, and easy to grind into fine powder. It is a soft material for foamed silicate building products and slag sound-absorbing bricks, thermal insulation layers and water-absorbing layers.

Water slag is also known as blast furnace water quenched slag, is a by-product of blast furnace ironmaking, and is also called mineral powder in the cement industry. Water slag is harmful to environment, today, it can be reused in many industries, for example, after being processed by a blast furnace slag vertical mill into powder, it can be mixed with lime, gypsum and other activators and to be used as good cement raw materials. It can also be used as the main raw material for the production of slag powder after being processed by ultra-fine slag grinding mill. Water slag can be used as a thermal insulation filler instead of silica bath clay to save costs, and it can be applied to produce slag bricks and wet-rolled slag concrete products.

How to deal with water slag? According to the purpose of the water slag, the first step is to grind it into powder.

Water slag grinding is mainly including four steps:

1. Delivery the water slag to the dryer of the slag grinding mill for drying.

2. The water slag are delivered to the dust collector for dedusting.

3. Sending the water slag to the water slag vertical slag grinding mill through the conveyor, using layer powder grinding principle grinding, it can be ground to 250-350 mesh.

4. The ground water slag powders are collected by a cyclone dust collector.
